As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of experience in the field I strive to provide informed and evidence based treatment to clients of diverse backgrounds in a safe, supportive, and accepting environment. Therapy is a unique experience in which we can create the space that we don't often make for ourselves otherwise to stay with and explore our thoughts, feelings, and experiences. I recognize that seeking support can be difficult and I truly value the positive feedback my clients have provided regarding their feelings of comfort and safety in their work with me. I utilize an eclectic and holistic approach in partnering with clients to help them achieve their unique goals. I draw largely from Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Client Centered Therapy, and Mindfulness based approaches, and I stay current with relevant advances in neuropsychology which impact psychotherapy. I am also S.A.F.E. EMDR trained. If you are seeking support during a difficult time in your life, seeking to improve your coping strategies, struggling with symptoms, or seeking more joy and fulfillment in your life I look forward to partnering with you on your journey and honor your commitment to self-improvement.

When I am not in session I am most often found exploring nature with my husband and my son. We are all avid whitewater kayakers, rock climbers, and mountain bikers and enjoy the occasional backpacking trip as well. Having grown up in Colorado, I was steeped in a love of nature and solitude and am deeply grateful to live within a short distance from the Smokey Mountains and the Cumberland Plateau. A particular passion in my work is processing extreme sports related trauma with EMDR and in helping others to utilize nature as a tool for growth and healing. If I have to be indoors, I enjoy a good podcast, poetry, music, cooking, and playing board games. I strive to maintain a regular yoga and mindfulness practice additionally.
